Association Française Tauranga is a new community group dedicated to celebrating French culture in Tauranga and the wider region. We are bringing people together around language, events, friendship, and support for French visitors and migrants to New Zealand.

French conversation walks
Join us for relaxed Walk & Talk en français sessions. All levels welcome — come along for fresh air, good conversation, and a touch of French.
- Bayfair — last Friday of the month at 9:15am, starting Friday 28 August. Meet outside Zone Café, Owens Place (near Bayfair). We’ll enjoy a gentle 20–25 minute walk to explore the Bayfair Reserve Wetland Restoration Project, followed by an optional coffee and morning tea at Zone Café. If the weather is stormy, we’ll skip the walk and meet straight for coffee instead. Feel free to let Elodie know on 021 027 90696.
- Bethlehem — “Les pas pressés”, first Monday of the month at 9am, starting 6 July 2026. Meet by the Gordon Carmichael Reserve Car Park, on Carmichael Road, Bethlehem. We’ll enjoy a gentle walk of approximately one hour around the reserve, followed by an optional coffee or morning tea at one of the Bethlehem Centre coffee shops.
